Do avatars have to be all or nothing, or is it possible to give one poster, and one poster only, an avatar. If that’s possible, then how about assigning an avatar to bucketybuck? ---

Just a guess, but the mods could probably make it something only they could modify, and either not give anyone else one, or give them a completely blank one or something. ---

I was sort of meh about whether I’ prefer avatars or not, but after this OP I think I’ve been persuaded to join the pro-avatar camp. ---

This is very disappointing. Although I did get to point, laugh, and feel smugly superior to people with a 50x50pixel sized hole in their lives, why has my pit thread turned into a discussion about some Lord of the Rings knock-off with a moody Tiger, framed by the usual auld biddies bleating away in the background?
