I think the multiverse stuff works better when used sparingly as a spice instead of as the main dish. I remember they went heavily into the multiverse and time travel stuff in Marvel and X-men comics in the 90s too, and that was around the time I started losing interest in the comics. ---

There will be multiverse stuff to bring the Fantastic Four and X Men into the MCU proper, and I imagine it will still be hanging out there and available for stories but the impression I got is they want to leave the Multiverse war/Kang stuff in the rearview mirror and move on to something new. ---

Does Downey ever do accents? When I read the comics, I usually hear Doom’s voice in either a posh faux-Brit accent, or a Hollywood German/Russian/Generic Foreigner accent. I also think Doom should have a deeper voice than Downey. But Downey is a good actor. We shall see. ---

IIRC Downey does credible accents. The pitch isn’t a problem. With modern recording techniques they can do anything. Just have him use his regular voice then modulate it when he is injured and masked. I like multi-verse stories. But then again, I like inter-league play in baseball. ---
