Won’t someone please start February? The only thing I have to rant about is that there’s no new thread but that seems like a week start to the thread! ---

I am having a very slow (normal but frustrating) recovery from carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand; the left one is still healing; one of my friends is sick and unemployed–again; a colleague died in his sleep the other day; a long-time pen pal died at age 60; another one is undergoing chemo for breast cancer after a double mastectomy and has lost most of her hair. Also, it’s too damn warm and dry here in CA. That’s all. ---

Maybe a [linky](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=711817) to the current thread would be helpful. [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/aw-dang-syne-january-minirants/645745.md?page=33)
