Well, I have a set of \* three wire \* colanders, plus a solid \* metal\* colander, AND a plastic sieve! (Does anyone remember the old thread where the girl was rattling off how her family was well-off, and one of the reasons she listed was her family had two colanders? I have never forgotten that thread, and have not been able to find a link.) ---

I don’t know if they still even make it, but when I was a kid we used Avon Skin So Soft. No nasty chemicals and it helps your skin!! ---

Thanks. I don’t know if bug repellent would repel these flies, though, or if it just repels mosquitoes and blackflies and things that can actually bite you. I also don’t know if I’m annoyed enough to really try solving that problem. ---
