I’m sorry to say, but I think it’s your fault for scheduling something during [Burning Man.](http://www.burningman.com/) 😃 😉 Amazon needs to get rid of some of their vendors. I’m getting tired of returning shit or worse, getting shit that I could technically complain about but just isn’t worth the effort. I’m sure these assholes know that and when I have the energy I do try to do my part and make life as difficult for them as they do for hapless consumers, but it’s tiresome. ---

My wife is 44. My daughter is 11. One will be well into puberty when the other starts menopause. Can’t I just die now? Or, better, all I want is a 7-year coma. Is that too much to ask? ---

In general, I don’t mind my father. But I wish he’d stop pissing on the bathroom floor and wearing really short shorts and no underwear! And eating Cheez Whiz! Question: does the colour of Cheez Whiz even exist in nature? It looks so unnatural. Blech. ---

SO pleased to be woken at 1:30 by a random mini-stallion running amok and making my guys insane. Tried putting him in the back yard, but he and Bootsie got in a kicking fight through the chain link fence. Took me 30 min to halter the little twerp, another 5 to get his attention. Tried putting him in my trailer, he tried to climb out, then tried to kick his way out. Got him out again before he shredded my screens or damaged himself and walked him down towards where I think he lives, he flipped out and slipped the halter (little Ariel’s was too big for him!) and buggered off down a driveway. Hope he stays there. I ran home and shut my driveway gate and now I’m wide awake, dammit. Ah well, I had to get up to feed the orphan kitten anyway I s’pose. ---

Self-pitting for forgetting to reapply sunscreen at the beach last Saturday, to myself and my daughter, as well as a couple of youngsters who stayed over. They claimed to have put on sunscreen as well, but judging by the condition of their skin later, I’m not so sure, and feel bad for not having insisted on it. We returned home looking pretty burned, but not as badly as one of our poor overnight guests, who is very fair-skinned and looked like she’d been boiled alive. ☹ As soon as we got in the door I went out, cut a large aloe vera leaf (I know the “leaf” has a proper botanical name, but I can’t be arsed to remember it right now), sliced it up and handed the pieces out to the kids to put on their burns. I also put an ice pack on the really burned girl, and she had to sit with a damp towel on her shoulders the rest of the evening. I hope she’s doing better now. As for me, I still have redness on my shoulders and neck, and even my cleavage. I put some Gold Bond on the affected parts, but I still can’t sleep because of the pain. :mad: ---

I was one of those fair-skinned kids…my family didn’t spend that much time at the beach, but it seems like every trip resulted in some degree of burning for me. I guess sunscreen washes away faster in salt water? During my worst burn, I slept with strips of lotion-soaked toilet paper on my shoulders. (It was an aloe-rich “after-Sun” lotion that isn’t made anymore, unfortunately.)
