Something I’ll bet no one else reading this even knows about: A little-known band called Glass Moon did Peter Gabriel’s “Solsbury Hill” and in my opinion it is far, FAR better than Peter’s version. ---

The vibe is totally different, but similar enough that I recognized it immediately, and I think that’s cool. I don’t like when people cover a song and do nothing new for it. ---

Both Marvin Gaye’s and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s versions of “I Heard it Through the grapevine.” I think I Prefer CCR. Zappa’s version of “Stairway to Heaven” is pretty cool. Lots of people love Springsteen’s version of “Jersey Girl,” but I prefer the original Tom Waits. Joe ---
