_Sigh_ I came up with this idea almost 25 years ago. I never did anything with it because a) I couldn’t figure out how to make any money with it. and b) I didn’t have the money to prototype it. I was going to use glycerin drops on wires, so the images would last longer. ---

You could go one step further and have several horizontal spouts operating together - and then make totally 3D falling water shapes. 3D water dolphins diving. Water planets. Water cars. Even water celebrities. How cool would that be? ---

There was a whole [building](http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/techinnovations/2007-07-12-world-fair-water-building_N.htm)(well, pavilion) like this at the Zaragoza (Spain) world’s fair this year, too. ---

After watching it, I was pretty sure of the people who were responsible: the very talented designers and engineers of [WET Design](http://www.wetdesign.com). They do some incredibly neat stuff with water.
