As for shows that I think really have no redeeming features, I used to put on _King of Queens_ reruns when I got home from work. I’d never seen the show when it was originally on the air, but it was my preferred background noise for that particular time slot. (I don’t have cable so I didn’t have a lot of choices.) I could have put on _Malcolm in the Middle_ reruns instead, a show I never particularly cared for but consider better _The King of Queens_, but there’s a lot of yelling and annoying children’s voices on _Malcolm in the Middle_ that made it unsuitable as background noise. ---

Just what his relationship with his sidekick doc is never explained. Well, I guess this the right place to confess that I DVR (and watch) both Pretty Little Liars and All my Children. In my defense, my mother and both grandmothers watched AMC from day one and the show is about two months older than me, so I’ve been watching longer than I’ve been alive. Now that all three of them are dead, I feel it would be disloyal or a betrayal of their memory to stop now. 😉 ---

**Extreme Makeover: Home Edition** , is little more than mindless, feel goody, public relations for _Sears_ and their other sponsors. I also know that the first time Ty Pennington came up behind me with that megaphone, he’d have to have a surgeon remove it from whatever acutely uncomfortable orifice I inserted the device. One thing that really pisses me off about the show is that the way it’s set up, one family wins the lottery with a fantastic new house. They could take the same budget and help thirty families but that wouldn’t be a marketable television show. With that being said, I do keep watching the show. The homes they build tend to have a wonderful blend of creativity, style and over-the-top poor taste. The stories of the people involved can be quite touching at times. ---

My vote is for any of the dinner party wars shows currently on. Basically lets get strangers together to trash each others cooking and decor, and see who serves up the least amount of bad food/bad entertainment. Its really fun when the participants decide to get drunk and sloppy with each other and really call each other out on quirks and dietary habits. I hate reality tv shows, but this is just like being a fly on the wall at a series of very bitchy parties. ---

Swamp Loggers, but only one time, when I was lying on the couch, sick, and couldn’t find the remote. What a boring show. A bunch of rednecky guys…cutting down trees.
