A good friend of mine who breeds and trains horses for a living recently got a miniature cow. And like all good ideas which somehow enter the cosmos via an osmotic process, she has named her new cow Mini-Moo. What a strange and fabulous world we live in. I visited my friend and Mini-Moo recently. What a sweetie! She really likes neck scratches, and loves to lick faces and hands. She weighs about 300 lbs. now, but is actually pretty similar to a St. Bernard. Weird. A lot of miniature animals have paraded through my life- I have a pygmy goat named Abdul. My mom has a miniature pot-bellied pig named JubJub that lives in the house with her. Jub weighs 90 lbs. and eats lots of carrots. My mom has little piles of blankets strewn around for Jub to root in, and she wanders about the house making little grunting noises to herself. She is possibly the most precious thing I have ever seen. ---
