You’re probably right; I should have let the moment pass before I posted.

Oddly enough, I found out about stravenues in the very place you mention; a colleague and I were trying to find out what the abbreviation “CV” meant (in the ST/RD/BLVD world). We saw stravenue and busted out laughing, thinking it had to be some kind of typo. Further research led us to Arizona.

I guess the thread can be closed since there’s probably no more to be said.

I still think it’s silly, but that’s just me.

My son’s school has a cafetorium. Sure, I get it, but sometimes the mind doth truly boggle when confronted with a strange hybrid word for the first time.
