Aztec human sacrifice

Bloodletting in Mesoamerica

Morehere under “Rituals.”

Another favorite was running a string with obsidian blades through the tongue.

Tobacco and toad skin enemas, that’s ingenious.

ISTR Jennings wrote the same in Aztec, which was very well-researched.

Sounds a lot more jolly than sticking a stingray spine through your wiener, at any rate.

I just read this news article today Brazil referee decapitated after stabbing player - BBC News I would definatly say there is a genetic aspect. “Brazil referee decapitated after stabbing player”

Right…because decapitation never happens anywhere else… Those people in the middle east lopping off heads are really just transplanted Latin American folks…

The people of Mexico/Central America/etc. do not have this “genetic” trait any more or less than any other humans.

Or the Dutch, for that matter.

What are you imagining the genetic connection between the Brazilian referee and the Aztecs to be?

Nm

Yeah, decapitation was dull compared to the stingray stuff- shredding one’s foreskin-or labia!- and then walking around bragging while blood drips from your tatters.

matt357, you’ve presented exactly zero information on the genetic background of the individuals concerned. Brazilians are a mix of European, African, and indigenous ancestry, and even the indigenous part is not particularly close to the Aztecs.

You have developed a habit of pointlessly bumping your own threads in GQ or arguing with the factual information people have given you without providing any of your own. I’m instructing you to knock it off. If you continue this behavior you may receive a warning for violating my instructions.

I would normally say that if you want to debate this topic you could open another thread in GD, but given the fact that you haven’t provided any evidence so far for your point of view this would not be a good idea.
