I’ve ordered from their website a couple of times and will second what everyone else has said (minus the upsell story). Quick, reliable service, and excellent prices. I’ve recommended them to others who are in the market for the same things I’ve bought. ---

I’ve purchased both pro-level equipment (DV cameras & supplies) and consumer good from them, both in-store and online, and they’re knowledgeable, fast, and no BS. I had one problem with a printer I bought but that was the equipment, not the sales process. And even though they had no obligation to take it back, they did- for a full refund. ---

B&H is staffed almost completly by Orthodox Jews. (cap, long curls, ect) so they do have a weird Holiday schedual. They close up early on Friday and the store is closed on Saturday but open on Sunday. Then they close up for a bunch of holidays that I could never hope to spell remotely correctly. But they are a great camera store. Now that I live in NYC, I love going there. ---

I ordered ~US$4,000 worth of equipment from them, no problems and excellent prices. Truly the gold standard of photography supply. Speaking of, do they do equipment rentals? I’m planning a trip next year, and I’d really like to rent some high-quality glass for the duration. Buying it is out of my price range for the moment.
