It’s funny, I couldn’t get BabelFish to mangle the following quote. Even after going through English to Greek to French to Dutch to English to Russian to English to Greek to French to German to English, it’s still too recognizable to be worthy of this game: “Napalm affections of the perfume of the mornings. It feels as… Victory.” Maybe some statements are just too straightforward to be easily mangled. ---

Yep. I haven’t used all the translations I’ve cooked up, simply because they weren’t mangled enough, or in a way which still left them vaguely comprehensible. Lots of terms (jargon, place/character names, product trademarks, etc.) can be red flags, making it too easy. Here’s my #6 [Italian-French]: Sincerely I do not give my expensive, with swore. ---

It’s badly garbled (dear as term of affection = expensive :dubious: ) but still decipherable with some work, and the quote is almost universally known. A lot of these are so badly garbled or relatively obscure that even after the answer is posted I can only barely see them. Unless you are a real fan of the movie in many cases you couldn’t pick them ---

I just shot this one to Japanese and back to English, but it really got mangled: **In order me the adhesive to stop ぐ thing, as chosen the week when you make a mistake, you see.** A very key word appears to have come back as “ぐ” for some reason. I shot **To infinity and beyond!** from English to German to French to Dutch to English and got **To infinity and further!** which actually sounds better to me. This one I just shot from English to Korean and back, but it was completely disabled: **My shoes. It the star is sufficient.** ---

Mine’s still on the table: English to German to French to English to Japanese to English “I stepped on the step of the donkey, crunching the rubber of the thing which crunches came. And it is the rubber of the thing where I crunch entirely.” Actually, I just checked imdb and found that my original had a clause reversed. Here’s the same translation of the proper quote: **Sublight #1:** “I crunched the rubber of the thing which crunches, stepping on the step of the donkey came. Assuming I’m correct in thinking “My God, it’s full of stars!” Maybe it’s the way I do them. “is sufficient” can be translated as “is complete” or “is full”. So “It the star is full” rings a bell. So, was I right? ---
