I got a call from my brother tonight with the announcement “We’re pregnant!” After ascertaining that it was not really “we” (me and him) and that this was for real (he called everyone on April 1 with that announcement), I announced it to my roommate, confirmed with one sister that he’d mentioned he hadn’t gotten hold of yet at the time he talked to me that he finally got hold of her and told her and now I wind up telling about 25,000 or so people on the Internet: My baby brother’s goin’ to be a daddy! _passes out chocolate cigars_ ---

Congratulations! You didn’t mention if this is your first time, but let me tell you in case you didn’t know already…being an aunt is about the best thing going…you get all of the fun, none of the responsiblity, and much MUCH joy! ---

Nope, not the first time. I have a 12-year-old nephew (Rugrat) and a almost-1-year-old nephew (Lizardboy) and a 10-year-old stepniece (Gator) and a 5 1/2 year old almost-stepniece (brother’s fiance’s daughter - no nickname yet). But it’s just as much fun each time! 🙂 ---

It most CERTAINLY IS! I have a whole bunch of them, and I feel more blessed than if I had a whole bunch of diamonds. Which they ARE, but you know what I mean. 🙂
