I saw this movie a few days ago and really enjoyed it. I hadn’t heard of it and didn’t know what to expect at all, but since I drove the teenagers to the theater and saw that it was a very long movie, I decided to buy a ticket and tag along rather than drive back to pick them up in a couple-three hours (the movie almost two hours long).
To those who haven’t seen it, there is a lot of violence in this movie.
I thought the plot was pretty good.
And the characters, who all had cartoonish nicknames- names like “Baby”, “Doc”, “Darling”, “Buddy”, “Bats”- were interesting.
The car chases were interesting too, and that’s something I don’t usually pay that much attention to.
Plus, there are just odd bits sprinkled in that make the thing so interesting. Of course, how parts of the movie are choreographed to the soundtrack is very cool, Skammer mentioned the grafitti already, and Baby’s real name that is revealed at the end of the movie is even a bit of a tiny joke (I guess) that just adds to the whole.
I actually want to see this one again because I know there was a lot going on that I missed.
