The thing that gets me is that without the fence in the background, you’d have very few visual cues about the lil’ critter’s size. If it weren’t for the lack of tusks, I’d have a little trouble placing just how old he/she was. ---

Aaaaaaaaaaah! Ickle wickle heffalump baby! Maybe they’re so cute because they are born so very big, yet have the manners of an infant. Lots of anthropomorphism going on too. ---

I’ll see you and raise you. When I go to Sri Lanka in March, we’ll be visiting … an elephant _orphanage_. Where they usually have 50-100 baby elephants at any given time. ---
