I can’t believe some of these names. Suri is a little strange, but okay. Shiloh? Eh. But _Moxie Crimefighter_? _Pilot Inspektor_? These parents need to be smacked senselss. By their children. Repeatedly. Or maybe be forced to swap names for a good 20 years, see how they like having the name of a friggin’ comic book character. I thought parents were supposed to _love_ their children?? ---

Every day I’ll read some story in the _Times_ about an anonymous family involved in some kind of mischief or hijinks, and their kids’ names are generally something like Brikayla, Affrika, Bayelie, Love Bible, Parris France . . . ---

Nothing wrong with Shiloh. Or Moses. And Tigra tells me I have to say there’s nothing wrong with Grier, except it’s usually Greer. Just because your little ethnic group doesn’t use a name, doesn’t mean it isn’t a traditional name. ---

I love the name Shiloh. If I’d had a girl I would have named her Shyla (combination of Shiloh and Layla) but I had a boy. I think Moxie is a very cool name too. I’m very happy for Pitt and Jolie. Not that I follow either closely, but from what I’ve picked up from osmosis, Pitt has been looking to be a family man for years, and seems like he would make a very fun, down-to-earth father. Jolie completely turned herself around from being creepy/witchy to being a responsible, caring human being right before she adopted her son. I think anyone who makes fun of these two doesn’t know enough about them. For celebrities, you can’t get much better in the human being, citizen of the earth, department. Just the fact that they had their child in Namibia shows some pretty hard-core scruples, bringing badly-needed attention to a country that Jolie fell in love with while filming **Beyond Borders** , when she could have stayed all chushy and pampered in Los Angeles. I love how Namibia refused to grant visas to foreign “journalists” unless approved by the couple. To hell with the paparazzi. And I just heard that Pitt/Jolie gave the country $300,000 to show their gratitude, which will (according to the article I read) be used for maternity wards and child health issues. It all sounds good on the page, and I’m still enough of an optimist to believe that it all might be true. There are so many Hollywood couples I can’t stand, that it’s nice to actually like this couple.
