According to [Popular Baby Names](http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/), “Lily” was the 17th most popular girls name in 2010. Not outdated at all. ---

I just went on [nymbler.com](http://nymbler.com) which is a lot of fun. You can put in up to 6 names that you like and it suggest back names that are supposed to fit your style. It has been really close on some of my friends and way off on others, but still cool to do. I put in Everly and Jonas and got back: Max, Oliver, Elias, Noah, Ezra, Owen, Walker : Janette, Harper, Isabelle, Janet, Madeleine, Charlotte, Isabella, Madaline. Kind of interesting. Some seem like they would make good siblings and some seem to go off in weird directions or be very popular right now. It’s also fun to look at the SSA list of popular baby names, but instead of looking at the popular ones, look at names that were used 25 times or less last year. (Google “beyond the top 1000 names”.) A lot of them are just weird misspellings of more common names, but some are really cool. ---

My mother (growing up in the 50’s) always wanted to be named Beverly. I also think Genevieve is beautiful. ---

Genevieve is a nice name… but let’s just say bad memories from my youth… I could move on, but it’s just easier not picking THAT name. ---

Thinking of the names of relatives born 80-100-ish years ago: Juliana Marya Eleanor Louise Genevieve Veronica Stella Clara Jenny Carolyn Margaret Constance Victoria Dorothy Katherine Frank Walter Joseph Michael Howard Anthony George Charles The women’s names were much more interesting, IMHO. ---

I love Pearl or Ursula for girls. For a boy, I think Sam is always a solid choice. ---
