I will duly have a munch and tell him that it’s from is Aunt Norine! Thanks for all the congratulations, everyone. It’s lovely to be finally able to share him with everyone - it’s been an almost 4 year journey to get to this point, and I really can’t believe we finally have an actual baby in our house. When does the novelty wear off? Of course, at the moment, it feels a bit like a relentless slog, but everyone assures me that it does get better, right around the time they give you their first smile…😃 ---

Even better, IMHO, is the first _kiss_ they give you! Often, it’s just the baby planting his open mouth sloppily on your cheek, but at that point, you know they understand that kissing means “I like this person a whole bunch!” and that’s _wonderful_. ---
