But a girl, well, she is obviously of superior intelligence. May I suggest the name Shirley 😃 I would like to know all the details ( name, weight, labor time) BTW, Gorgon, your dedication to the boards is most admirable! How in the hell did you sneak out and log on? (I am more than jealous as I was trapped in the hospital 72 hours with #2 ( child, not bm) and had no internet access and no friggin’ cable. Labor & Delivery was easy, the rest was \*sheer hell \*. Oye! ---

Good morning to you all! Thanks for all the words of encouragement. The whole thing was not all that difficult, as the docs just up and decided to do a c-section. Actually only took about 15 minutes and she didn’t feel a thing. I got to see her guts, too! The Heapette, whom I won’t name just 'cause this is an open forum, was 20" long, weighing 6.14lbs and came out at 6:22pm. For you crazy NYC Dopers that I know, she has my hair color (poor thing). **Green Bean** , yes, this means we can’t make it, unfortunately. I will now have off Friday, but my back is too bad to try to drive around in the city, and nobody is going to come up here, so, hey. I was really looking forward to seeing you guys again. However, I will be participating (heavily) in the Mega-Dopefest!!! And I say again, we have plenty of extra space. Thanks again. Mrs. Heap is looking foreward to the kind words when she gets home. ---
