This is a warning to anyone out there in Doperland about some software called “Babylon Translator”. I somehow got this horrible thing on my computer (no idea of how this happened as I do all my Internet stuff within Sandboxie), and had to jump through all sorts of hoops (including a System Restore) to get rid of it.

One of the things it does is to usurp your Internet home page with its own page. Removing this page does no good - even after using Revo uninstaller to get rid of all vestiges of Babylon it would come back on the next reboot. Finally, restoring the system back to a date well before the Babylon infection seems to have fixed the problem, but we shall see. Searching on “Remove Babylon” shows that quite a few other folks have had this same problem.

Anyway, watch out for this one. The Babylon site appears to be legitimate, but it sure behaves like a virus.
