That may well be, but I know more single men than women who could eat the same damn thing, day after day after day after day…

I’m actually a little surprised. Despite the stereotype, in my experience, I’ve met more “eat because I have to” people who are women than men, and who would be happy just eating chicken & salad every day than I know men who would be happy eating hamburgers or beans and rice or whatever stereotypical food bachelors eat. I don’t think this is something that generalizes well, especially today.
