When it’s all done, put them together in a time lapse. Juliet, how long was the fridge out? Was the frozen stuff soft? A closed fridge should keep stuff cold for a while; & some dry ice will extend that until a repair can (hopefully) be made. One of the other tenants in the building is of the federal LEO variety. When I went to the vending machine (in the common area) one of them came up behind me. I purchased from the third row, 4th slot. Yup, a federal agent watched me buy C4! 🆒 ---

**metal mouse** , I’m going to have to wait until retirement to dine at Cheddar’s. When I worked evening shift, I could get in there at lunch, but there are lines out the door during the evening hours and I refuse to take a number for a chain restaurant, no matter how much I like the food. I’m sorry about your coworker **ruble**. ☹ **Moooooom** , your sewing machine sounds like it’s a similar vintage of the one at my grandparent’s home when I was a kid. It began life as a treadle and had a motor added sometime in the thirties. **Juliet** , losing all of that food on top of having to replace your fridge sucks. Today has a better start than yesterday did. That’s a good thing because I have things that I can’t put off to do. I’m learning how to move to avoid serious pain and getting out of the other side of the bed made a big difference. Today, I need to check out another model car (I’m checking out more than just the Corolla) for insurance rates. I have a feeling that that will be the ultimate deciding factor on what I get. I also need to head to Tar-jay for a prescription and pick up a few more things on the grocery list while I’m there. If all goes well, I’ll take Nelson to the dog park this afternoon. I’m looking around the apartment for some kind of sturdy box that he can jump on that will make it easier to harness/leash him before we go out. I think he’ll be a willing participent on jumping up on a 12-18" box. 😛 ---

**Spidey,** I ain’t got enough gumption to do all that picture-taking; I will get some when they are completed so you may gaze upon my color choices… **Juliet,** tough luck on the fridge/freezer. Had it happen to me about 10 years ago when a tornado blew down all the power lines around here. Hnag in there. **Red** , hugs and groceries might have boxes they throw away they can give you. Wally’s place has boxes for sale for low cost, but you have to tape them together yourself. Speaking of which, the first coat of paint for the Kitchen and bedroom are done and they are working in the hall bathroom now (good thing I did my business there early), so hopefully I’ll have some pictures soon. Now need to go to raid the mini-fridge for some edibles. ---

\*\*Red \*\*- Mine is still all treadle, and I was amazed not too long ago when I was able to buy a leather belt to run it. Tho that might not be too hard here, what with all the Amish… I had to move a table in order to reach the fridge and get my lunch. You’d think they’d arrange for the remodel in there to be done after hours, or at least after lunch. Oh well, no biggie - I got my sammich! ---

I think the freezer went out early yesterday (or maybe overnight the night before) and I didn’t discover it until I got home from work yesterday. Frozen meat was totally thawed, ice cream completely melted… all of it ruined. Then I opened the fridge. Totally warm. Blowing warm air, even, to warm up the cold stuff. **Romeo** got a repairman to come out around noon today. The nanny will let him in and give me a call before he does anything beyond figuring out the problem. Hopefully he can get it fixed quickly. Either way, I had to throw out just about everything I bought for dinners this week, so the kids and I are getting some fast food tonight. Hopefully, it’s on the way to the grocery store to pick up a few staples to restock the fridge! ---

When I was in the middle of losing my baby teeth, Dad started bringing back random animal teeth from work and telling me to put ‘em under my pillow, see how much the tooth fairy would bring. Including an elephant molar. The thing was the size of a brick. I didn’t get to keep it though, the zoo only had one, removed after an infection and he’d only borrowed it. I did have a great crocodile tooth collection though, they shed them and regrow all through their lives, the mean ol’ tooth fairy never gave me nuffin’ for 'em. ---

Happy Toosday! It’s partially N.O.S. today, and cool outside. I woke at 3, damn bladder, and couldn’t get back to sleep. I got up at 5 since I start irk at 6. Lazy Ripple didn’t go out until 9. He woke up to eat some breakfast with me at 7 and then went back to sleep. His bladder must be made of steel. My niece is okay, she got banged up a little and a few cuts. I think you are right though **MetalMouse** , if the fire truck had been doing 90 the damage would have been much worse. She was picking up her two younger boys from some kind of church thing for the kids, and she had a neighbor’s kid with her. My mother doesn’t like that neighbor and is afraid she will sue my niece. I doubt it. If the rain holds off we are going to wash the truck today. We were going to do that Saturday after we put the groceries away. The truck is a mess, being that it is parked under a tree. I have much to do today, and I’m already tired. Also irritated at how long some things are taking. Waiting for people to get back to me is very annoying. ---

It’s 50+ years old and needs to go in for service, but she won’t do it 'cause she thinks it won’t run right after that. The fact that it doesn’t run right now doesn’t seem to convince her to have it cleaned out. **Juliet** , sorry 'bout your freezer. Been there, done that. In our case, we caught it before everything went bad, but we had to throw about half of our hoarded foodstuffs out. ☹ ---

Today’s the kind of day where I just want to go home and have a drink. Except I have no ice. :smack: The repair man showed up 2 hours late. But at least it was an easy fix, and he has it up and running. $200 later. But that’s cheaper than a new fridge. And irk is being particularly irksome. I think tonight is the kind of night where we eat fast food, I open some red wine and let the kids watch too many cartoons while I decompress. It’s a “bad mommy” night where I would feel guilty about being a “bad mommy,” but I am all out of fucks to give today. Tomorrow is a new day… ---

She went to see a lawyer, but I think it won’t amount to anything. I once got one of those when I was stopped at a light and somebody ran into me. I asked how I was supposed to reduce my speed when I wasn’t moving. Sorry about the fridge **Juliet** , been there and done that, no fun. I asked my neighbor if she knows who fixed my downspout and she said she noticed that it had been fixed but she didn’t know who did it. So still a mystery.
