I have no idea if people remember this user name or will be interested in any way in this message, but I didn’t want to just go straight to my first “substantive” post without some prior ado. Anyway, I’m back. I was relatively active on SDMB about seven or eight years ago; later, my activity sort of faded gradually, until it totally vanished. I’m delighted to see the SDMB is still around and flourishing, and I decided to revert back (SDMB addicts, see this as some sort of confirmation). What have I done in the meantime? Went to university in Germany (joint law/economics degree) and the UK (master’s degrees in law and global governance, which is sort of an IR thing). I’m currently in the transition to the labour force - I have a permanent job lined up next year, but deferred it since I wanted to do two paid internships before committing myself to an employer permanently. So I hope those of you who still have vague memories of this user will find a matured Schnitte, both personally and in his professional status. Btw, you’ll mostly find me in GQ since this is the section of SDMB I’m most interested in, but occasionally I might stray into other boards. ---

Congrats! As someone on the cusp of probably needing to figure out what the hell my next step is professionally, I salute you. ---

I just checked–your last post before this one was almost right before I joined. Still, it’s always cool to have people back. Your profile says you are 27–if you don’t mind, how old are you now? ---

Thanks for the warm welcome, people! > [@BigT](#): > > Your profile says you are 27–if you don’t mind, how old are you now? 27, in fact. I was planning to come back earlier this year, but didn’t. Seems like I updated my profile at the time, but didn’t end up becoming active again. ---
