So… I volunteered to help my mom out with her open house, on my day off. This was a mistake: not only is the first time I’ve been able to sit down in eight hours, but all of these people have not been doing my social anxieties any favors. ---

Hot dawgs and fries for dindin. I got some slaw while we were at Popeye’s. Their slaw is not too shabby. Thus we had a veggie. **Fonz** look at it as earnin’ some major karma points for helpin’ out. ---

Chick bird,leftover rice and gravy, corn on the cob and baked beans was the evening meal. Will get us by til the next one. I am finally starting to feel rested and not so puny. Off now to find a good movie. I love when I can stay up all night if I want. Cooked, did some laundry and sorta cleaned up the kitchen. Changed my sheets and walked the dog a few times. Sloth. My middle name. I hate that tomorrow is Sunday already. **Sari** could be worse on the offspring. Believe me, I know. ---

Not as much as ice cream TBH. Train has had mechanical issues. We have just added a second engine. Here’s hoping we get over the mountains. We are roughly [del]4 1/2[/del] 5 hours behind schedule. Can’t say I mind all that much. Something about riding on a train reduces the urgency of things. I sprung for a sleeper compartment this time, so we get actual beds. Yay, beds. There was a semi-comical scene in the diner where I tried to order drinks - using the menu - and struck out repeatedly. Seasonal beer (sold out), gin and tonic (no gin), irish cream (don’t got none). I finally just asked for whatever red wine they had and got something. Sigh. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 92 and mostly sunny for the day. TWPTB said that for yestiddy and it was cloudy all afternoon. Also rain predicted for tomorrow. We shall see. We’re goin’ out to get a McBrekkie this mornin’ and then deheathenate. I’m doin’ ush duty this mornin’. **Nava** one would think the oven would understand to go ahead and bake when one puts foodstuffs in it wouldn’t one. 😃 OK, I need more caffeine. Blurf. Refereed in 95F heat yesterday afternoon (I have heard of something called the Fall season, but it doesn’t seem to have remembered to visit Ali-bama), came home and ended up sleeping 4 hours until 8pm. Snacked and stayed up until 11:30 then went back to bed until a bit after 5am. Still have to mow my lawn today, and it is supposed to be as hot as it was yesterday. Oh joy. ---

Happy Sunday! It’s a sunny 50 degrees outside. I had to turn the fan off, unless I want to stay wrapped up in a blanket all day. Today’s high is predicted to be 72. Not bragging MetalMouse, just stating the facts. Today’s agenda includes more proofreading, making tacos, vacuum and dust, and maybe some irk. I don’t know, I kind of like taking weekends off, then again, I could use the money.
