Preparations for the weekend trip proceed apace. The sprog is going to be coming with me, because he needs service hours and because it’s the beach. There’s a boardwalk with amusement park because it’s the Jersey Shore. There’s a law that says there has to be a boardwalk with an amusement park. I got my flu shot today. My left arm hurts like a mofo but I feel virtuous because I’m doing my part toward herd protection. Don’t worry, I don’t have the autisms. ---

\*\*FCD \*\*decided to get up and hit the shower around 4 this morning. So much for sleep. While he finished getting himself ready and packing the car, I took care of Higgs. They’re both on the way down I-95 and barring traffic jams, they should be in Ocala in 13-ish hours. So I’m officially without adult supervision. I’m also showered, dressed, and fed. In a little bit, I’ll throw some lunch items in my lunch bag and head to the office. I’s tahred - I see an early night with Mel tonight. Yeah, I know how to whoop it up when I’m on my own. Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out and appears to be clear (still dark out) with a predicted high of 92 and sunny for the day. I shall mow OYKW’s yahd this mornin’. I shall. Yes, I shall. Beyond that, no huge plans for the day. There’s stuff I need to do but it’s stuff I can do whenever I feel like gettin’ to it as opposed to stuff that must be done right now. **gotti** here’s hopin’ Oscar has gotten the help he needs. He is lucky to have such good friends. **MetalMouse** hope the a/c and dish gets fixed soonest today. My DirectTV Dish is not mounted on the roof but on a pole on the side front yahd. My calendar just gave me a pop up warning me I have an exam that’s 2 days overdue. Good thing I wasn’t waiting for the warning 😛 The exam in question was to see what grade can I attend for French at the local Official School of Languages: I got into B2 (the 4th level of 6), which ain’t half bad at all. Some of the other students were terribly upset that one year of Erasmus hadn’t jumped them one or two whole grades, but they were young enough to not realize that the final years are a lot more difficult than the first ones. B2 may pick the wrong expression but will be able to manage in most situations; C2 will be mistaken for a native except possibly for the accent. ---

Happy, I have to look at my phone to see what day it is, Thorsday! It’s a nice 61 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 84. As much as I hate the heat I am dreading the cold that is coming. I managed to sleep until 6 this morning but I still feel a big ol’ BLURF! A big branch fell off the tree, we didn’t see it until yesterday as it is outside the fence. Actually, it’s off the neighbor’s tree and is outside her side of the fence, but we’ll take care of it anyway. With all the school work he has, it won’t be this week. ---

I use Rite-Aide \ and have had darn good luck with them. Every bit as good as my regular doctor and I can just walk in at times better for me. Had mine for this year over the weekend and even hitting the injured arm I never felt it. ---

LUNCH!! My sweetie called a little bit ago - he’s in SC, so he’s making good time. I’m mostly worried about fatigue - driving I95 is so _boooooooring_!! As long as he stays awake, he should be fine. Found out the n00b is being put in my office. Poor guy gets crammed in the corner right inside the door. Life’s rough for n00bs. 😃 Sometime today or tomorrow, all kinds of crap needs to be cleared off that desk. Not my problem. All I’ve got to say is c’mon, Firday!!!
