The chocolate covered bacon I tried a couple weeks ago didn’t live up to the hype for me, so this doesn’t tempt me much.
But speaking of bacon, we have jalapeno bacon at our deli. Now that’s some good stuff.

Sweet + salty is the best, so bacon with sweet stuff makes sense.

Denny’s did this about a year and a half ago. I tried one.
Not only did it have bacon on it, it came with maple syrup as well.
Here’s [a picture](http://eater.com/uploads/dennys-maple-bacon-sundae.jpg) of what it looked like.
They said I was the first person to try one (the day it came out)…like, at any Denny’s location.
It wasn’t half bad.

Yeah, I could see that. But it really ought to have maple syrup in place of the caramel. Maybe not the best sundae ever, but it doesn’t sound bad.

I generally want to keep my bacon and ice cream separate, but I’d at least try it. Corn and beans are used in a lot of Thai desserts, and I never would have known I liked that if I hadn’t come here.
Burger King has a strong presence in Thailand and plans to expand. I hope they introduce it here so I can try it.

Bacon already gets combine with cheese a lot, so pairing it with ice cream might not be that jarring.

Yeah, not even close. Bacon on ice cream is old news, at least ten years old. I mean, hell, there’s ice cream with Spam in it. Spam!
Just found this [Wikipedia article](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacon_ice_cream) that says “as bacon ice cream was first created in 1992 and only came to the forefront in the 2000s, there is no traditional recipe.”
