Scientific American has announced the winners of its Science & Technology Web Awards 2004. One of the five sites chosen by the editors in the [Astronomy](http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?articleID=000A801B-3EE7-115C-BEE783414B7F0000) division was our very own\* [Phil Plait’s Bad Astronomy site](http://badastronomy.com/). - Sadly however, it appears that ([**The Bad Astronomer**](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/member.php)) never became a Charter Member. ---

That’s really cool. Unfortunately, his profile shows his last post was back in May, so for whatever reason he didn’t continue after we switched to the paid accounts. Well, **Bad** , if you’re still reading the SDMB, kudos to ya!
