Bad Babylon 5 Dialogue Thread

They don’t say it that often that I’ve noticed, but I’m only midway through season 3 again. I know in Season 4 the inter-caste politics on Minbar become a bit more important to one or two story arcs, so maybe it gets discussed a lot more.

We just defeated three carrier battlegroups: yeah but this is the post office, we could get in trouble

How about pretty much anything from that Nightwatch political officer?

Be careful, Captain. I think you’re about to go where everyone has gone before.

There is some really god awful dialogue from Catherine Sakai in the first series, where she talks about getting back with Sinclair, it really is terrible, so bad in fact you can make out the time in which she is going through the motions of her script.

I submit all of it, with the exceptions being anything a Vorlon said and Sinclair’s response when asked by the press whether or not maintaining Babylon 5 was worth it.

I’d have shot her down three times over while she was blabbing away. Just saying “God sent me.” would’ve done.

Well, the whole reason they were having the conversation was that the other Captain wanted her to identify herself. It’d just be rude to ask her that question then not let her finish answering.

On the other hand, I could totally see Larry King asking that question.

Really, though, the sheer number of Babylon stations they went through before getting to the current one always made me laugh. Babylon 1 blew up. Babylon 2 blew up. Babylon 3 caught fire, fell over, sunk into a swamp, and then blew up…

Well, it was more like:

Babylon one : o-ring failure
Babylon two: Apple lawsuit
Babylon three: Now that, yeah, it was really a dude with a shoebomb.

They really should have read the iTunes Terms of Service before installing it.
