**Boo** , I must say, that I have leaned on that song too, through a few very dark periods in my life. My friends were there for me, just as the song says, and things brightened up. Of course, I was subsequently there for them, when they needed my help. Hell, I still have my “Rest if you must, but don’t you quit” inspirational card on my fridge. It’s been on at least five fridges, in five cities, over thirty years; and it’s helped me too. I read that card every day. On a lighter note (pun fully intended), “Lean on Me” is the song that I typically warm up on piano with, when I practice. It’s not hard to play, the piano chords just go up the scale, and the chords get my fingers used to where the keys are. Great song, great music, and great warm-up. ---

Actually, I have no idea of her address. When I “saved her life” I knew shhe lived “just off the highway where the fertilizer truck had blown up recently,” but they do that commonally. ---

Dropzone! Good to see you again. Yeah, Spoons, I’ve been thinking I might send your missive separately. But I still want to wait a day or two. Grah! As far as sending balloons, I’m really back and forth on this. Should or shouldn’t. I want to express the sympathy and care we all have with something tangible like that, but would it be too intrusive? I could ask her directly. I’m sure she would say no, and I’d respect that, but that’s not what I want to do, dammit! Alas, as I think this through, I realize that I am stuck on the horns of a false dilemma. I will ask her directly for an address to send well wishes to, and when she says no, that will be it. I don’t mind asking forgiveness, but I won’t violate expressed wishes for her privacy. Yes, i believe I’ve figured out two most probable locations for her and would send care packages to both just to be sure, but… I’m not 100% certain that either is correct I’m only 97% certain of the one address ---

She’s way out in the sticks. Beck may have a PO Box in town. That’s helpful because it doesn’t reveal the location of her house. I hope Beck’s son is ok. Those 2 lane country roads can be dangerous. There’s little traffic and the locals rip through there at high speeds. I was guilty of it myself. I was Young and dumb. ---
