“Small notes from the bowels of the Rehab” By: that bad bad bad girl Beck… We received a new inmate. The first I heard of him the CNA said stay away from him. I asked ‘Why’. No answer. Next was a stream of expletives, from the guy, some I’d never heard before. Not directed at me. He’s very loud. Well, that was rude, I thought. As I was going to rehab the nurses were just very angry. (Ah, I’m not the worst patient anymore). I saw him walk into rehab as I was leaving. He’s using a walker and is morbidly obese. No smile. The CNA, with him got a ‘Kiss my Ass’ for her trouble. Then back in my room I can hear him screaming bloody murder, curse words coming fast and furious. I got my pepper spray and put it in my robe pocket. Then I napped. I walked outside afterwards. Now, this is a secret, mum’s the word. A cat from the courtyard followed me in. All the way to my room. I swear I wasn’t dropping treats behind me. The cat is Dot. And she loves me. Dash probably misses her. Don’t you guys tell on me. 🫣 I’m still not the worst patient ---

One of two things is going to happen to that guy. 1. He’ll get kicked out. No doubt to a much less nice place. 2. They will sedate his ass. The rehab center is just going to have to accept the fact that every time you visit, you will purloin\* another cat, by any means necessary, even if you have to stuff Dot into a suitcase when you’re leaving. Yes, he came in here from another nice-ish rehab. He got in a physical confrontation with staff. We don’t know what. CNA is a font of knowledge and this one still thinks I can’t talk right now… Ms. Cheryl will unload him to the state warehouse of the elderly and sick. He’ll be sorry. The food is atrocious at this place and there are bugs and mice… On the other hand he might lose weight and not feel as sick. Oh, Polly-anna Beck always looks for the good in all she sees. ---
