I’ve had a couple problems. Mostly I’ve eliminated them. Food is still good. Most folks are pleasant to enough. I miss going outside. It’s just too hot. The cats seem ok. I keep an eye on their watering thing. ---

I bet peeps didn’t even notice (or CARE) that I’ve been AWOL for about a week. I fell into a book, which led to another, which led to… You know how it goes. I stopped by this thread first, to see what’s been going on. And I see the heat and mizry is making everyone crabby. I vaguely remember hearing that elephant joke a hundred years ago. It was fun to read it again, and it made me giggle. That’s a good joke to share with my granddaughters! Bekkers, my love, you need to use some smart-ass remarks on Hildegard as an outlet for your frustrations. Such as: “Whips and chains today, or just handcuffs?” “Where are the black stilleto heels and fishnet stockings?” “I’m supposed to ‘assume the position,’ right?” Carry on! ~VOW ---

Okay. I’m back on my usual brain activity. Actually I’m not sure about that, anymore. Peeps understand me, mostly. I’ve had a couple days where my thinking was somewhat normal. So I decided to post. (Again, if I start talking weird, someone flag me). The days have grown wearisome here at rehab. I rehab, I eat, I walk, check on the cats outdoors. I can’t stay long it’s just so hot and humid. But I do check on their water, everyday. I’m on a new adventure. I’ve been asked to just try and talk out-loud to a few people everyday. And I’ve actually successfully done so. Not any long diatribes just a friendly hello. Answer one question or say what I need. I have to say the CNA I know here was dumbfounded. She thought I was deaf. So she’s aggravating me asking questions. I can hork a yes or no out. She’s good practice and I feel safe with her. That’s where I’ve been. Missed you all. ---
