What brand of cards to you like Beck? My Wife and I play a lot of Cribbage and 500. We wear out a deck about every 6 months. No big deal at all. We have been using Bicycle Premium cards.
Beck, I’m afraid you might have a poltergeist. Bad news. The plus side is, it seems to give you some very entertaining stories to tell. We here are grateful.
I’ve used bicycle cards.
One time a bought an off brand. I opened it. All the cards were blank.
Just white on both sides.
So I made art.

Except maybe to play a card game with someone and pretend you can see the cards just fine.

I’m reminded of the crap game in Guys and Dolls, where Big Jule has challenged Nathan to a game, but insists on using his own dice. Nathan agrees, but he wants to see Big Jule’s dice first. Big Jule hands the dice over, and Nathan examines them.
Nathan: But these dice ain’t got no spots on them!
Big Jule: Oh, I had the spots removed for luck. But I remember where the spots formerly were.
Guess who does very, very well in their game? Maybe a hint, Beck. 
I actually did trading card art on all of them.
The kids love to look at them.
That was actually fun. I wonder can you buy blank cards?
Off to Amazon I go…
Target has spiffy ones with printed backs but blank faces….oh, the places Beck could go….
Tell them you played so much solitaire in rehab that you wore the pips off of the cards. But, you remember where the pips were, so you can still play poker with them.
Open a big bag of regular M&Ms, or Reese’s Pieces, and tell the grandwrex to help you put the pips back on the cards!
