Well, _I_ love them. They make it so I never feel alone. I’m fond of my gut flora as well (though they may be some of the ne’er do well sort of gut flora, I’m afraid.) I just think it’s so cool that our bodies are an entire ecosystem. And if you really get into it, all of our trillions of cells are themselves individual creatures making up one big creature for the apparent sole purpose of survival. It’s just… Cool. ---

Exactly. – I’ve known about the eyelash mites for a long time now. When I first heard of them, I thought, I bet I’ve got them; my eyelash roots sometimes itch. Have never been upset about it – though it may be just as well that I didn’t know about them as a child, as I was squicked out by a lot of stuff then that doesn’t bother me know. ---

Yup. I just think of eyelash mites as like Godzilla for bacteria, give or take about an order of magnitude. If the nearly FORTY TRILLION bacteria living in and on my body don’t squick me out, then why should I get upset about a mere few million mites that I also can’t see with the naked eye? ---
