A big old shawarma at two in the morning from a hole-in-the-wall place that’s actually open at two AM. Pita, greasy lamb chopped right off the roast, sides, dripping in sauce, done. Please note: Not the quality stuff. The quality stuff has no place in drunken post-boozing foodstuff-acquiring. This MUST be a gigantic hunk of food that costs NO MORE than five dollars. Bliss. ---

Do truck stop deli’s count as “fast food”? If they do, then there is nothing better than a BBQ burrito and a bottle of Cherry Coke. ---

Burger King Chicken Sandwich, the longish one. Long John Silver’s Chicken Planks, with the crunchies. Funny, I’ll order a small Caesar salad and a chili at Wendy’s. But I will sneak some of Ivylad’s fries. 😃 ---

White Castle jalapeno cheeseburgers. Even when I quit burgers as a new year’s resolution 2 years ago, I made an exception for White Castle. It’s really going to get difficult when I quit ground beef for life starting on 1/1/2010. ---

Has anyone had the pleasure of trying Jack in the Box’s “[nachos](http://www.theimpulsivebuy.com/wordpress/2009/02/02/review-jack-in-the-box-taco-nachos/)”? Sadly they were introduced after I moved 300 miles away from the closest location, but I’m still interested in knowing if they taste as good as they look (which isn’t setting the bar high). ---

Once a year I eat at Taco Johns and Culver’s just to remind myself why I only eat there once a year. I’m not sure that qualifies as a guilty pleasure. ---

I couldn’t resist Sonics Frito Chili Pies. Ate them several times a month for 20 years. Then the idiots took them off the menu. Haven’t been to a Sonic since because that was the only item I liked. Their hamburgers suck. ---

McD’s breakfast. Hell, McD’s anything. I also get cravings for the Tower Burger at KFC and some other burger they have at Popeye’s with ham and chicken and cheese … mmm. And Arbys. Damn I miss Arbys. ---

White Castle. I’m not quite sure how “bad” is being defined here, but they’re bad (even though they taste sooooooo good) because you’ve got to go to White Castle to get them. Usually in the wee hours of the morning. There was (and may still be) a White Castle in the neighborhood in which I grew up. It was open 24 hours a day. One night (morning, really), I went in there with some friends. The cops were there. A number of police cars out front. Also an ambulance. There had been a fight. Some guy got stabbed. He was being carried out on a stretcher as we arrive. There was visible blood on the floor. Did that stop White Castle from serving up tiny little burgers? Did any of the customers leave? No way. Business kept on going. We got our burgers and left. That’s why White Castle is bad. On the other hand, there’s a new fast food chain in New York (I think they’re bigger in the DC area), and they’re really _good_. I’m getting addicted. Five Guys! ---

There’s one near here that recently opened, and I’ve also heard it’s good, but MY GOD IS IT LOUD IN THERE! We walked in, and walked right out. The cooks were yelling orders, the customers were all pretty loud, and the acoustics helped boost everything. I think I’d have a quieter meal if I ate on the airport runway.
