This is really at the core of why my mother was so insanely abusive, and why my great-grandmother was institutionalized for life. I don’t think most people realize how serious PMDD is. Fortunately for me I have a lifetime of experience holding my temper because of the knowledge of how rage can hurt others. But I still have moments where I feel like everything’s falling apart. It’s like…I know how much worse it could be, but I can’t just pretend everything is fine because I’m not smashing dishes on the floor. It’s time to call the doctor. ---

Happy 4th! It has been a lovely extended weekend overall, including an intensive family cuddle session with **Wee Weasel** and a dozen sea creature stuffed animals this morning. He was putting the blanket over each of them and putting them to sleep, one by one, “Goodnight octopus! Goodnight squid!” which is some solid pretend play and signs that he is growing. So yeah my core rant is going back to work tomorrow. 😛 ---

Yesterday was spent doing my least favorite chore, transplanting well established plants. We have many decorative grasses all over the place. I planted many of them. Periodically my gf decides some need dug up/divided and moved because they’d look better elsewhere. I should have worn gloves. I also should’ve worn sunscreen. It was so overcast I didn’t think I’d burn. ---

We both agreed we could not handle another without serious quality of life issues. Back to the mini ranting… Dear CEO, you just asked in an email what was needed for a report that is my literal job to submit, not yours. The three people responsible for that report then replied that all was in process and it would be submitted before the deadline. You then sent a separate email saying there are open tasks in that application online… Yes, those would be the open report tasks I just told you we are working on. Your job is to sign contracts. My job is to administer grants. I do not need your help with these fucking reports. Please stop asking me about them every time they come up. It is such a waste of time to explain to you multiple times every fucking quarter that _this is my job._ I wish I could remove you from the funder’s email notification list so hard. It’s obviously confusing you. ---

I have a rash appearing, and a stranger using the word **PROBLEMATIC** is what gave it to me I feel. I hate that word. I am using the word ‘hate’ here, about that word. The term is fine: prob·lem·at·ic _noun_ 1. a thing that constitutes a problem or difficulty. “the problematics of artificial intelligence” No, my anger stems from people’s use of the word. A spade is a fine gardening implement, but if everyone regularly brought them to twirl haphazardly in shopping checkout lines I’d feel different. It’s used as a Mad-Lib or a goofy booby trap. “I went to the store the other day and you know what I saw? A purple disc golf set! Which is of course problematic. Anyway…” WHAT! No. YOU tell me what the fuck you are insinuating, do not leave it to me. It would be like this: “My god did you see the news! It’s going to be some temperature we’re having tomorrow. Make sure you wear the proper clothing!” Both statements are equally asinine. ---

Last week the Roku remote went walkabout. Inconvenient, but there’s an app for that. Checked all the reasonable locations. Between/under cushions. Behind/under sofa. The less likely locations. Under entertainment center. (Everything is a cat toy.) Unlikely options. Fridge, washer, dryer. Broke down today and ordered a replacement. The question is, how long after the new one arrives will the old one turn up? ---

That happened with my Amazon TV remote. The old one turned up the day I got the new one. It was in my purse. I never put it in my purse. As far as I can tell, my rather large handbag was sitting on the floor next to my bed. The remote fell off my bed, and landed right in the open style handbag and sank to the bottom. ---
