Once upon a time in my past, I encountered a wonderful kisser - we’re talking wobbly-knees-catch-my-breath-oh-yeah-baby kissing. I don’t know exactly what it was that made him so great at it, but I wish I could teach my husband the technique. Yep, nothing in the world quite like a good smoocher. ---

OMG **jarbabyj**! His name wasn’t Dustin was it? Dustin was one of the worst kissers I’ve ever encountered and had the same problem your James Dean type guy did! It was so gross. He _always_ stuck his tongue down my throat and he drooled like a teething baby. I tried to give him hints that it was ok to _swallow his spit_ every now and then but he never took the hint. He was a pre-ejaculator too. We never had sex but he would come just by making out with me. (I’m either that good or he was that inexperienced!) Actually, I’ve been told I’m a great kisser and if any of you guys don’t believe me you can come find out for yourself! 😉 ---

I went out with one guy whose definition of a French kiss was to stick his tongue in my mouth and keep it rigidly in place. No movement. For a little variety, he’d sometimes curl the very end of his tongue up, and leave it like that. Blecch! He was the second man I kissed, and the first one was absolutely fantastic. Until I met #2, I didn’t know the experience could be gross. I also saw one man who wasn’t such a good kisser-- not terrible, but certainly not great – who was FANTASTIC in bed. Delightful surprise, that one. ---

There was a guy I dated briefly that would _attack_ my mouth with his tongue - short, hard pokes. Very freaky, very gross. I liked him okay otherwise, but once I kissed him, that was all she wrote. Blargh. ---

never having kissed anyone, this thread is somewhat disillusioning. in my mind, whatever guy i like is the best kisser ever…kind of weird to think this might not be true. ---

so does nobody like slobberers? i have never kissed a slobber girl so i dont know what it’s like, but i’d imagine if i really liked her i wouldnt mine drinking her saliva. i find bad kissers are ones who dont wiggle their tongue enough. kinda boring. i’m not saying move it around at 100 mph just slowly but surely exploring with yer tongue. it’s not that hard is it? ---

Well, I’d like to add that you can have cousins that are no more related to you than your coworkers. I have a cousin who is my great aunt’s son, and I always had a huge crush on him. Second and Third cousins, not to mention removed cousins are very different from first cousins. I see no problem with it. If you go back far enough, everyone’s related. jar ---

he said cousin, which usually implies first cousin. even second cousin’s a bit dodgy, third may be a bit more ok. gotta remember the chances of genetic defects in children of cousins is higher than average (due to less hetrogenous genes, more chance of double reccesives) ---

She’s a first cousin, and if making out with your cousin is cheating, we were cheating (she’s married too, with kids too). Does making out = maybe going to have kids together? We were under better control than that. Lighten up folks. Sex is a good thing. But that’s another thread. ---

Cheating issues aside, I’ve no problem with _kissin’ cousins._ Then again, I’m in TN. No, it’s not common here, y’all…just had to beat you to the punch. Anyway, I agree that kissing well is extremely important. Fortunately, most women seem to be good kissers. (I’ve been told I’m a great kisser–“especially for a guy!”) But I recall two that were not. One did the “smacky” thing. The other was just thin-lipped and, well, _mechanical._ Hard to describe it, but it was not sexy. “Smacky” was fun in bed, but not fantastic. “Mechani-Girl” was robotic. Once was enough. From my limited experience I’d conclude that kissing is a fair indicator of everything else…and damn good kissing is very nearly as wonderful as _anything_ else. But I’ve kissed more than I’ve engaged further, so what do I know? Then there was the lesbian friend who was still trying to play bisexual. The hugging was good, the kissing was great, the cuddling was delightful. But when it got down to the nitty-gritty, well, I guess she just couldn’t pretend I was a woman during that, so it was disappointing and awkward for both of us. This experience would be disqualified for the “study,” IMHO. YMMV. ---

I don’t usually count it since I was still in elementary school at the time. We’re not blood related since he is my aunt’s son from her first marriage, but I always have considered him my cousin.
