Battlefield Earth Pure crap but I love watching that Hack Travolta wallowing in his own excess and winding up holding a great big fetid Turd.

Runners up:

Plan 9
Robot Monster
Army of Darkness
Knightriders
Bride of teh Monster

Honourable mention:
Children shouldn’t play with Dead things
Scooby Doo
Smoochie Must Die
The Thing with 2 heads (Not to be mistaken with the next mention)
The incredible 2 headed transplant (Casey Cassim is Groovy man)
The incredible melting man

**Any** movie with Divine. She could liven up anything from a cheesy western-comedy (Lust in the Dust) to a lethargic and pointless crime drama (Trouble in Mind)…

WHAT!!!

Take that back!\*\*
No. 😛 Even if these are Ray’s best works, and I remember them from a kid as well, I don’t think that makes them the best animation. C’mon, Sinbad is 5’ tall in one scene and in the next shot, he’s 8’ tall, then 3’ tall. It’s hilarious. Before you get too offended, I _did_ say I love these movies. My mistake on the claymation… next you are going to tell me there was no claymation involved in Clash of the Titans. If that’s the case switch my above combination to a mix of testosterone, **foam rubber** , and hokey sound effects.

\*\*Saltire, \*\* \*I \* remember \*Hero At Large. \* It may not have been an Academy winner, but not that bad.

Am I the very first to mention the 1980 film version of **Flash Gordon**? I went to the movies because I was depressed(a long story) and came out of that flick felling a lot better. Max von Sydow, Brian Blessed, Chaim Topol as Dr. Zarkov, Timothy Dalton and Ornella Mutti for eye candy(although I’d rather have Zarkov myself) Great flick! In spite of lines like this from Dale Arden

“We keep our promises. That’s what makes us better than you.”

Another vote here for The Incredible Two-Headed Transplant. Bruce Dern as the mad scientist who thinks it’s a good idea to graft the head of a homicidal maniac to a, um, retarded person or something, and Kasey Kasem as the earnest confused friend. Sheer brilliance.

Are you sure you aren’t a member of my family? Those four movies are our all time favorites. Although we sometimes would argue wither **Eye of the Tiger** was better then **The
Seventh Voyage**. Crazy I know, but I can’t help liking the baboon brother.

Another favorite of mine is **My Boyfriend’s Back** aka **Johnny Zombie**. [http://us.imdb.com/Title?0107626](http://us.imdb.com/Title?0107626)
“Daddy, that dead man tried to eat me.”
“Zombie Whore!”

**The Three Amigos**

I don’t think \*\*Charlie’s Angels[b/] is a bad movie, but if you think so, then count that one as well.

My favorite “bad” movie is Fire In The Streets, A Rock And Roll Fable. Imagin Rick Rossovich as a stupid cop - years before Pacific Blue. It was the first time I ever saw Willem DeFoe and it made it hard for me to see him in a more normal role. Diane lane, Rick Moranis, Amy Madigan … a better flick than you would expect.

I also like My Blue Heaven which, for the most part was ok, but the dancing scenes, alone, justify buying it.

I kind of get Streets of Fire, Eddie and the Cruisers, and The Legend of Billie Jean all mixed up. I know The Legend of Billie Jean really has nothing to do with the rock star thing, but I think it’s the Pat Benatar song that does it. Boy, did I lurve Michael Pare. And who doesn’t love “On the Dark Side”?

And I wanted to add another male magnet for bad: Eric Roberts, a master of the straight-to-video release.

I love that movie. I especially love that the guy playing Flash Gordon was never told how over the top it is and is just acting his little heart out. It’s sweet.

**The Doom Generation**. It’s so ridiculously offensive and self-consciously pretentious, I can’t imagine that the director meant it as anything more than a bad comedy. I mean, come on, the total “$6.66” comes up every time they buy something? And everywhere they stop, somebody loses a body part? This movie seems to get reviled as one of the worst of all time, yet I find it hilarious!

I also like **Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death** (starring Bill Maher before he was famous) but one could argue that it’s merely a _parody_ of bad movies…

_Tango & Cash_ - so goofy and overdone it makes me giggle for most of the movie. It has almost everything that’s right (and wrong) about 80s buddy action comedies.

_Death Hunt_ - Lee Marvin and Charles Bronson creaking their way through the Yukon with lots of shoot-'em-up action.

YES!!! This is the best bad movie ever made. And the first TV comedy sketch (SCTV) made into a movie that I ever saw. Better than all the SNL movies except MAYBE for Blues Brothers.

There wasn’t much to do. All the bowlin’ alleys had been wrecked. So’s I spent most of my time lookin’ for beer!

Fleshy headed mutant! Are you friendly?
No way, eh! R-Radiation has made me an enemy of civilization!

And another big YES!!! to Commando. That’s favorite Schwarzenegger movie that isn’t Terminator. Duh.

What happened to Sully?
I let him go.
