I once got my hair cut at a place called “The Bikini Cut”. I guess you could describe it as Hooters for hair. You go to have a friendly, attractive (in theory) gal clad in a bikini do your hair. Kinda pricey, but good, clean fun. 😃 ---

Oh, this is fun. I’ll spare you all the pedestrian, boring “hair” puns and all the ones on Devine Street that put a boring pun in there, too. Only the best here. My Yellow Pages yields the following: **A 360 Degree Styling Boutique** - har in the round! **Agape’ Hair Salon** - I assume it’s somebody’s name, but I think I’d rather go to the Eros Hair Salon myself. **Atmosphair Salon** **Barbara’s Professional Hair Weeving & Styling** - how “professional” can you be if you can’t spell weave? **The Beautee Shop** **Betty’s Paradise Of Beauty** - right next door to Ft. Jackson, one might add. Not that I’m implying anything about Betty. (_Betty_?) **Changing Phaces** **Cutting Edge Of Columbia** **Express Your Hair Salon** **Exquisite Trendz** **Extreme Hair Designs** - er, no thanks. **Foxy’s Ladies** - I confess, I think that’s kinda cute. I wouldn’t mind getting my hair cut by somebody named Foxy. **Hair Glory Perfection** **Hair Power** **Hair We Are** - okay, so I had to put some of the best of the “Hair” ones. Particularly the first two, which seem a little fuzzy on the concept. **It’s Only Hair** - thanks for the consolation, hon. **Kim’s Beauty & Variety Shoppe** - I’m struggling between wanting to know and not wanting to know. A trip to North Main might be in order. **Mo’ Betta Barbering** - I’d go here, if I were a man and had some good gossip to share. **Outing Beauty Salon** - where one goes to get one’s butch crew cut? **Pure E-Magination** **Sassy But Classy** - hey, that’s what I’m going for with my haircut, actually **Sheapopadores’s** - no idea. **Shear Five** - somebody couldn’t grasp the nature of the bad “shear” puns, eh? **Sol 2 Sol Hair Designers** - like feet? Like the sun? I dunno. **Tre’s Bien** - owned, one assumes, by Tre. My favorites: Atmosphair Salon, Changing Phaces, and It’s Only Hair. ---

Here in Greensboro we have [Hairport '77](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075648/). Seriously. The woman I go to has the last name of Maxwell, and she named her shop Maxwell’s Silver Scissors. That’s why I picked her out of the book–anyone who names her shop after a Beatles song can’t be all bad. ---

I _hope_ it’s not a regional spelling, it’s hard enough to tell people where you’re from sometimes. 🙂 Honestly, you _weave_ it into your existing hair, how hard is that? There were a few places that promised a “weave” as spelled correctly, so if it’s regional it’s not ubiquitous. Maybe mine is an offshoot of yours, apprentice gone master. ---

Two solon names I hate most: **Hair Port** and **Hair Benders** I don’t know why those two just get to me because I love a good pun or advertising twist. ---

In Fort Myers we have \*\*Da Kuttin’ Krew. \*\* Sounds a little too industrial for my taste. If I started a salon I’d give it a germanic theme and call it **Hair Kommandant**. “Ve Haf Vays Of Making You Beautiful.” ---
