Saint Cad, are you sure this is a disk brake truck? All the Ford 150’s I’ve looked at were disk up front and drum in the rear. The reason I ask is because a drum brake will often grab backing up when it’s too loose. The grabbing sound would be multiple and clunky.

Saint Cad says in post #14 that it has disc rear brakes. My 2001 E250 has disc rear, also.

Yah, that’s why I was asking if he was sure. Loose drum brakes chatter when backing up. I’ve also suffered from the dreaded rear disk parking brake cable disease. But that didn’t make any noise, it just dragged .
