i know an ex-friend who had a string quartet perform “Eleanor Rigby” at their mother’s wedding…not the best of songs to wish somone happiness forever…

What about “The Wedding List” by Kate Bush? It’s the story of a scorned woman who shows up at the wedding of the man who scorned her, guns him down, then kills herself. In addition to the disturbing theme, it’s also a little hard to dance to.

Not really innappropriate, just weird:

I was at a wedding where the moment the groom broke the glass and the ceremony ended, the DJ played the opening theme from the _Muppet Show_. You know,

_It’s time to play the music  
It’s time to light the lights…_

In front of 500 rather surprised guests.
