Regardless of the show’s quality, what current programs do you think have wicked theme songs?
I nominate [Stroker & Hoop’s](http://www.adultswim.com/shows/strokerandhoop/) – pounding base line, etc. Makes me happy/rowdy for some reason. 😃

That show just has a kickass soundtrack in general. I love that particularly martial bit that plays while the Orange County Liberation Front is describing how the bee must die.

If by baddest, you mean most kick-ass, awesome, pump it through the speakers while you’re doing your dirty work, _Peter Gunn_. I may be biased, though, since I am a video game fan- the song was used in the classic _Spy Hunter_ game, and I can’t hear it without thinking of going down the road, shootin’ bad guys and saving the day. Now _that’s_ bad! In the good way, of course.

Ready, Steady, GO! **FullMetal Alchemist**. Wish they would start using the other themes as they are just as good. The fourth one is actually the best in my opinion.

Full agreement here.
For current stuff, the theme song for the FX series The Shield is pretty cool. They don’t actually use much of it in the show, but a full version is available on the soundtrack album.

Adult Swim in general has some cool theme songs: Aqua Teen, Sealab, Venture Bros., and Stroker and Hoop. And I must say, while I don’t know how “bad” it is, I find the American Dad theme irresistible; I sing along every time.

I think cartoon themes are just little freer to get weird, and since it’s all drawn they can communicate with more energy.
