I just finished watching \* Blazin Saddles\* and I can’t get this line out of my head. It seems like I heard it a million times before but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Was this the first time the line or a version of it was said? ---

This is one of those often misquoted movie lines. It’s been a while since I’ve seen \*The Treasure of the Sierra Madre \*but I think the quote is more along the lines of “Badges? We ain’t got no badges. We don’t have to show you no stinkin’ badges.” ---

Heh. That dude’s website fails to mention an appearance of the subject at hand. The 1985 movie [Real Genius](http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0089886/) (with a young Val Kilmer) had the stinking badges line in it somewhere. I know this, and I hate movies and rarely watch them. 😕
