**A definition of the word set.** 1. To establish as the highest level or best performance i.e. _set a record for the half mile_ 2. A unit of play in a tennis match, consisting of at least six games. 3. A badger’s den or burrow; while frequently spelled _sett_, the spelling _set_ is also acceptable. 4. The basic square formation in square dancing. 5. To place - _v_ 6. A collection of articles designed for use together 7. To allow something to harden or congeal 8. A mapping between a universe of elements and binary variables that indicate membership (mathematics) 9. If capitalized, an ancient Egyptian god associated with chaos, storms, the desert, violence and foreigners; a trickster and antagonist to Osiris 10. To prepare a table for a meal by placing cutlery and dishes in their proper positions 11. A pattern-finding card game introduced in 1991 12. Urgent care testing says that I don’t have the flu or Covid, so it’s “just a cold”, but the last time I felt this sick was when I had Covid. ---
