**Your first paying job** 1. Paperboy I was in fifth grade and had a paper delivery route. There was about 30 households, so it took around and hour to complete each morning. That included cutting open the bundle and folding the papers. I earned about $60/wk. ---

Pinsetter Back when I was still in high school, our Catholic church had a league that used two ABC-sanctioned alleys in the basement of the parish hall, installed in the 1950s _(to replace 9-pin lanes that had been there earlier)_. They had Brunswick B-2 pinspotters which still required someone to pick up and place the pins in the rack _(and pick up and return the ball)_ and then lower them into position before scrambling up and out of the way.
