I enjoyed my weekend stay there with some high school buddies very much. It’s been well-restored and is in a beautiful hilly, wooded area. Each of us read a favorite bit of Kipling aloud one night. My friend Gary read an excerpt from _Captains Courageous_, which he’d loved since he was a kid, and then was amazed and pleased to learn that Kipling had written the book under that very roof. ---
