Rejected “Brady Bunch” plotlines

1. Mike designs a whorehouse and Greg sees the architectural plans, leading to an awkward father-son conversation.
2. Jan, tired of being ignored as the “middle sister,” tarts herself up and barely avoids being attacked by the local perv in this “very special episode.”
3. Alice is discovered to be selling drugs to school kids when she asks Marcie to front for her.
4. Cousin Oliver is caught… defiling… Tiger.
5. Carol is alone in the house when Sam the Butcher makes a special delivery
6. Mike takes out a large life insurance policy on Carol, which makes her suspicious when she learned to get the same thing for his first wife two days before she died.
7. All of the Brady kids are completely unrelated to each other, with their memories of their lives together implanted by The Agency. Parents Mike and Carol are agents assigned to shepherd the children toward their nascent psychokinetic abilities, with Alice being their actual in-residence supervisor. Sam makes periodic visits to make a hands-on evaluation in constructing progress reports. As time goes by with no results, the scientist in charge of the project is sent in to push things forward. His name: Oliver. Unbeknownst to all, the actual head of The Agency regularly observes the entire project from inside his cloned body, that of a large canine…

Y’know, one day we’re gonna see a straight-up situational comedy that deals with a nefarious (yet bumbling) Agency trying to groom superhuman agents, yet all kinds of hilarious incidents keep getting in the way/ruining the plan-of-the-week. The comedy will be the main thrust, not thrown in as asides in a drama. _Get Smart_ was a precursor, but only a precursor. 🙂
