Fictional characters falsely accused of a crime: 1. Nat Blake in Louisa May Alcott’s Little Men: falsely accused of theft 2. Dr. Richard Kimble in The Fugitive (1993) falsely accused of murdering his wife 3. Dmitri Karamazov, wrongly tried for the murder of his father 4. Captain James T. Kirk, accused of negligently causing the death of a crewmember in “Court Martial” 5. Tom Robinson, falsely accused of attempted rape in “To Kill a Mockingbird” 6. Mr. Bates on “Downton Abbey,” falsely accused of killing his wife 7. Andy Dufresne, in “Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption” wrongly convicted of murdering his wife and her lover 8. Idgie Threadgoode and Big George, arrested and tried for the murder of Frank Bennett in “Fried Green Tomatoes”. 9. Very Special Agent Anthony D DiNozzo, Jr was convincingly framed for a brutal murder in Season 3 Episode 9 of NCIS: “Frame Up” 10. John Proctor, falsely accused of and executed for witchcraft in Arthur Miller’s The Crucible 11. P.I.
