Things that surprised you to learn about some celebrities: 1. Bizarre Foods host Andrew Zimmern was once a homeless heroin addict. 2. Alice Cooper is a devout Christian and an excellent golfer. 3. Bing Crosby advocated the legalization of marijuana. 4. Ruth Westheimer (“Dr Ruth”) trained as a sniper in the Israeli army. 5. Jack Kerouac was a star high school running back, and was offered a football scholarship to Notre Dame. 6. Whoopi Goldberg is a great-grandmother. 7. Tim Allen spent 2½ years in prison for drug trafficking. 8. Dolph Lundgren has a degree in chemistry fromWashington State University, a degree in chemical engineering from theRoyal Institute of Technologyin Stockholm and a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from theUniversity of Sydney 9. Ken Jeong has a medical degree and was a practicing physician when he decided to switch careers to comedy. He is still licensed to practice medicine in California. ---

Surely, singular. Only [seven have won multiples](http://www.pajiba.com/seriously_random_lists/62-oscar-emmy-winning-actors-actresses.php#.U0AJYn-9KSP): Meryl Streep, Jessica Lange, Sally Field, Dianne Wiest, Maggie Smith, Ingrid Bergman, and Peter Ustinov.
