Name a hero (any nationality) from the 21st century. 1. Chesley Burnett “Sully” Sullenberger, III - “Miracle on the Hudson” pilot. 2. Malala Yousafzai - Pakistani girl who stood against the Taliban, even though she was shot for it. 3. Barack Obama - Scoff now. I think history is going to be very kind to our first black president. 4. Antoinette Tuff- an office worker at an Atlanta high school who talked a school shooter out of his gun before anybody was seriously hurt. 5. Angel Cordero and Charles Ramsey - Rescued Ariel Castro’s captives 6. Elliott Prior-a four-year-old who yelled at a terrorist (who’d just shot his mother) and demanded that his family be allowed to leave the Kenyan mall at which the terrorist attack was taking place-and saved his family’s life. 7. Andy Peat - human shield. 8. Steve Buscemi- actor- a former NYC fireman before he became a full-time actor, he volunteered for 12 hour days in the ongoing rescue and remains finding missions after 9-11, then declined interviews and requested no photographs be made of him as he was not doing it for publicity. Note: this is not to minimize the contributions of non famous NYC firemen, but he happens to be a well known one. ---

Ben Bernanke, a student of the Great Depression, he was in place to guide Federal Reserve policy through the Great Recession. Many disagree with what he did, but the fact that 2012 was not at all analogous to 1932 showed that the man learned _something_.
